Description
Contactless RFID chip cards in combination with barcode and magnetic stripe technology are used as a standard in libraries. With IDTRONIC library cards, you can manage your library and media management contactless.
The data carrier is based on a transponder or chip connected to an antenna. An electromagnetic field generates the energy required to read, store and transmit information through the antenna of the transponder.
The contactless cards from iDTRONIC offer many advantages due to their unrequired physical connection to the reader. The communication is done by the electromagnetic field between the reader and the contactless card, which has a long lifetime and is insensitive to dirt and humidity.
Segmentation makes it possible to integrate different applications (e.g. access control and loan management) into a single card.
The use of the following chip technologies is recommended for library applications:
- I-Code SLI / SLI X [HF | 13,56 MHz | 128 Byte]
- MIFARE DesFire EV1 / EV2 – 2K / 4K / 8K [HF | 13,56 MHz | 2048/4096/8192 Byte]
- MIFARE Classic EV1 – 1k / 4k [HF | 13,56 MHz | 1024/4096 Byte]
If required, we can also provide the cards with magnetic strips in the usual variants:
- LoCo (mit 300 Oe)
- HiCo (mit 2750 Oe)
- Super HiCo (mit 4000 Oe)
The library cards can be printed with your desired layout using a high-quality offset printing process. Furthermore you have the possibility to personalize the cards with names and/or photos as well as writing fields.
Furthermore, you can equip the cards with serial numbers and UIDs for exact user identification.
